As a graduate of our local high school, my commitment to this community runs deep. This is where my husband and I have built our lives—he works for our local high school district, and I have spent the last twenty-one years teaching. But my perspective isn't just shaped by my time in the classroom. I am also a proud mom of two students: one with special needs and one who is gifted. I know firsthand the unique journeys of our local families because I live them every day. I am running to bring this deep, personal understanding as both a parent and an educator to our community. I am ready to serve the place that raised me and the families who make it whole.
As a parent here in Littleton, my goal is to ensure that every single student has the opportunity to succeed and truly feels like they belong in our schools. I see this need firsthand with my own children. My daughter needs an environment that embraces her love of the performing arts, weaving that passion directly into reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Meanwhile, my son needs a classroom experience that keeps him challenged and engaged in math and science. By putting our students first, we can build a school system that meets every child right where they are, supporting their unique talents and helping them thrive. That is exactly what I will fight for.
I believe in the potential of every child in our community. That is why I am committed to a simple but powerful approach: high expectations and staff support. We absolutely need to expect growth in our students, pushing them to achieve their very best. But we cannot expect that growth to happen in a vacuum. To make sure our kids succeed, we must give the absolute best support to our staff. Our educators and school staff are the backbone of our schools, and they need the resources, tools, and backing to do their jobs effectively. When we support our staff, we set our students up for success. I will fight to ensure we are investing in our educators so that every student in our community has the chance to grow and thrive.
Our schools here in Littleton have an incredibly strong foundation. Every single day, they work to motivate our youth and show them that their futures are bright. We are already seeing the wonderful results of this dedication, with real, steady growth on our state assessments. As I run to represent you, my focus is to support and build upon this strong basis. I want to ensure our schools continue to instill confidence in our children, helping them see their own potential and promise. Together, we can keep our schools strong, celebrate our students' progress, and ensure a bright future for every young person in our community.
